This is my first gold ring find ever and my first full day out with the Golden uMax. When I got home I checked to see what ID number my Gold Bug Pro was going to give to the ring. It came up a 54-55. That's in the foil range just below a nickel which comes in at 57-58. The tip I got about looking in the foil and nickel range for small gold rings using the Golden uMax paid off. You may lose some bigger gold rings notching out most of the pull tabs and all of the zinc pennies, but you'll still find some nice size gold.
The Golden also produced 27 quarters, 25 dimes, 12 nickels, and 14 copper pennies.
I found one zinc penny laying on top of the ground and a nice sharp shooter shovel laying on the side of the road
