Tesoro Euro Sabre and hot rocks

Hi guys.
A friend of mine is gong crazy. His Euro Sabre finds every hot rock on the ground.
He has tried to ground balance over an hot rock, but without good results.
I have an Euro Sabre too, I usually listen them, they have a two-click sound and they disappear in all metal.
The question is: does a DD coil improve Sabrina's performances (Sabrina is the nickname of Euro Sabre) ?
 
I have a Euro Sabre and in my area, I can tune hot rocks in
or I can tune them out with the manual ground balance.

I have not had that problem.

Sorry, but I have never used a DD coil.
