Tesoro Eldorado

Was going to get a Tesoro Euro Sabre but decided to get a Eldorado instead (uMax style). It came in the mail this morning, it is in mint condition, now if it would warm up a bit so I could give it a try. Played with it some out in the yard (the detector that is ), air test (which doesn't mean much) wasn't real impressive but sure is very sensitive, hit nice & hard on small foil which tells me it will get the jewelry. I will let you all know how it does after I give it a good work out. Steve.

Howdy Steve

That's great!............. I'm sure that with that new ELDO your hands, the gold is just trembling to see daylight again.:bouncy:

does'nt the eldo run on 10khz too and have a manual ground balance? I might be in the market for one come spring if it has these features, i have found more coins and jewelry on this freq than any other

Yes and yes. 10Khz and manual ground balance, plus frequency shift and all metal or disc. mode.

It's sort of confusing as the general flyer listed it as 10kHz, but it operates at 10.6 kHz and you can toggle left or right to opt for 10.4 kHz or 10.2 kHz.

I like the Eldorado. It seems to be very sensitive to small foil and lower conductors. That is necessary to find the smaller gold objects. HH, crs

My wife & I had to run into town, she had to get some things for my Mom's birthday (she's 75 today) I only had about 20 minutes to try out my Eldorado, my wife had to be back to house clean for our neighbor, but 20 minutes is 20 minutes. The first thing my wife asked me when she came to pick me up was did you find any jewelry... I said no, you know them Tesoro's can't find jewelry. Reached into my pocket and put my 20 minutes worth of finds in her hand, she looked at me and smiled, hmm a ring, I think its silver she said. Cleaned it up and read them little numbers 925. I got the small silver ring another piece of gold colored jewelry & 5 or 6 clad coins. Two of the coins were are very respectable depths. Setting the ground balance on the Eldorado is a breeze, and it is a very very stable machine. Wish I would of had more time to use it today, we still have some decent looking weather for a bit. No to brag and I give all the credit to Tesoro, it seems more times than not I always find jewelry and most times it is at least two pieces per outing. I do really like the Eldorado (it is the plastic uMax type model). Steve.

Silver ring in 20 min. you say?

Not bad for it's maiden voyage! And give your mom a kiss for her birthday!

Yes honestly I only had 20 minutes to detect. The ring wasn't deep but it hit like a ton of bricks. Always good to hear from you Randy. Steve.
