Tesoro detectors do like nickels

Tesoro detectors seem to really hit hard on the nickel coins and here is my nickel finds for the last couple of seasons using a Silver

WOW!! Thats a lot of nickles. I have yet to find a V or a Shield but hoping the Vaquero will score me some.

Your right about that Roger, Tesoro detectors are not allergic to nickels and jewelry like alot of other detectors are.

hatpin, If you are in the older areas hunting your Vaquero will deliver the goods for you. For some reason I find lots of nickels but my gold finds suck. Just gotta get the coil over those gold rings I guess..lol. Good luck with your Vaquero !

Hey Steve, How's things going for you? Been a while since we talked. I love this new Vaquero... it has produced some nice coins for me so far at a new site that I have. Found a large cent, 2 cent piece, 3 shield nickels and of all the things to find in a midwestern cornfield, a 1787 Massachussets
Commonwealth copper coin. The copper was pretty well trashed but had enough details to identify it with. You just never know what will turn up in the next hole. Hope all is well with you up there in New Yawk..........

First 10 months in the biz clad finds, last 7 months of that with the Vaq.
Didn't do too bad on the nickels, found some small gold rings, too.

Like Skiwhiz, my Compadre hits on nickels further than quarters.

Revier, That is some nice clad totals. After over 30 years of detecting it still amazes me of the amount of coins in the ground.

This is from an earlier post of mine:

Day 4 - 12 quarters, 22 dimes, 14 nickels & 14 pennies. That's a grand total of 72 quarters, 74 dimes, 79 nickels, 83 pennies and 1 silver ring in 4 days.

I used the same settings for all 4 days.

I just can't get over how many nickels I'm finding with the Tesoro Bandido II uMax. Its hitting them super hard. I really like this detector a lot!:)

They sure do like the lower end where foil and nickles fall and are certainly one of the best gold ring units around.....

tabman, Those are some excellent numbers for 4 days hunting. You found a ton of nickels with your Bandido. I have to rate Tesoro detectors right up there with the Fisher CZ's for finding nickels................HH
