Tesoro Depth Test

As depth tests can contain so many variables the link below may or may not be of some interest to you?

Okay, so the depth thing was a bad idea. Oh well, now I know.

Guess I'll go back to being a reader and leave the commenting to those who understand all this stuff.

Thanks for the info.

its just that there ARE so many variables involved. You wondering it doesnt make it a bad idea, it is just a natural thing to wonder...Is my detector as good as theirs, do I get the same depth, etc. Also, if all the commenting were left to those who have tons of experience, and have done everything there is to do in metal detecting, we would only have 4-5 posters, and it would be a boring forum to read. Keep wondering, but dont be afraid to be shot down every once in a while ;)

I have two Tejons...one I keep the 9x8 on and the other the 5.75...and they work for me for 99% of my hunting. I have confidence in the depth I'm getting and the sensitivity to small objects is outstanding. Target ID is unreliable for the less obvious targets, which are the ones I'm after anyway. Different folks will give you different answers...you ultimately have to decide for yourself what works. For raw depth...Tejon, Shadow X-5, Nautilus II-B, Explorer....they're a toss up IMHO...good luck and good hunting, Ray.

Will that is what I get, about 8" on a dime with my Tejon. Any deeper is unusally circumstances.
