I took the Deleon out for a spin today to see how well it worked. I first decided if it's a good target or not by listening to the audio tone before looking at the screen. The Deleon would be a great detector even without the screen, but it's nice sometimes to have a second opinion. My first good target was a 1907 Indian Head Penny and shortly thereafter I found a Sterling Lighter back up under a crape myrtle bush. It was for the most part toast, except for the sterling case. I also found a bunch of clad coins, a Memphis Rail Token, a couple of Wheat Pennies (1919, 1944), a Euro Dollar that was sandwiched between two zinc pennies, and a unknown case if some sort.
So far, so good.
