Tesoro Cortes Finds Sea Turtle :tesoro: :usaflag:

I went back to the sports field this morning to search for another gold ring. I didn't find one, but I sure did have fun looking for one. The Cortes is one awesome detector to use. It has a lot of visual aid coupled with the World famous Tesoro audio response and discrimination. It hits deep and run smoothly. I was digging dimes at 5 and 6 inches with a good audio response and VDI info. The Cortes has no problem telling the difference between a dime and quarter even at 6 inches deep or more. I've been over this field several times in the past and I'm amazed at what the Cortes was still finding. I'm super happy with the Cortes and it's going to be in my arsenal for a long time to come.

The signal that I got when I found the silver turtle was a full zinc bar with the VDI number jumping into the '95' and back. I just knew it was a silver ring. I dug down about 4 inches and my ProPointer located part of the silver chain on the side of the hole about 3 inches down. I knew from the audio response that there was more than just a chain. It took me awhile but I managed to recover everything thing without messing anything up.

The Cortes has become my go to detector for sports field hunting. I'm wanting to try the 10.5 concentric doughnut coil to see how deep it will go compared to the 8 inch doughnut coil that I'm using with it now. It's larger size would reduce the time it takes to cover those large open fields. There's not really a lot of trash, so masking shouldn't be a problem. You can see the settings that I was using in the picture.

Have I mentioned that I love my Tesoro Cortes. :)

Great find. Congrats! I have yet to find a necklace and a charm. So far I just find the charms.

Thanks. As soon as you recover a pendant, turn your discrimination all the down or switch over to 'all metal' and search around the area where you found the pendant. The broken chain is most likely close by.
