The folks over on the Tesoro forum don't seem interested in responding to my post asking for a performance comparison between the new Outlaw and the Bandido II uMAX. I've heard that these two detectors are very similar, but I'd like to know if there are any significant differences. If there are any folks out there who have experience with both detectors, I'd appreciate your feedback.

There are two people on this forum that I know of that have have used them both, I ain't mentioning names. Although I have the Bandido llI already own the Bandido II uMAX and was hoping for some unbiased feedback from those that are familiar with both detectors.
To Hombre's point below, it's really unfortunate that so many folks on these forums are afraid to express their opinions about a particular detector because they fear negative fallout from self-styled defenders of various detector brands. It really makes informed decision making doubly difficult.

Seems to me that both detectors are similar enough that the decision is whether to buy new (outlaw) and/or with the extras coils or not. I've seen references to the Outlaw being a Bandido II on steroids, but haven't had the opportunity to try one.
