tesoro compadre

I am bidding on a tesoro compadre on ebay and its the new one with the 180 discrimination. Since all of tesoro's high end models also use this discrimination system, can you expect the same depth.

might be superior to the Tejón or any of the µMAX housed models. The Lobo SuperTRAQ with handle iron junk better then the others, too.
So far as depth of detection? IF the others are equipped with a similar-sized and design coil, they would still get a little better depth, especially the Lobo ST & Tejón.
These models come with larger coils, and have interchangeable coil ability, too, making them more versatile and also able to achieve better overall depth.
Now, that's not to say the Compadre is a total whimp, just that the others are capable of a bit better depth.
By the way, other than the Compadre, only the Eldroado, Lobo SuperTRAQ and Tejón are land models with the full-range, ED-180 discrimination.

I originally started thunting with the Compadre. I think it is the best machine on the market for the price. As to depth, it does very well with the coil supplied as the combination is tuned to be very efficient. I have since moved up the line by several models partially due to the desire to be able to change coils, but don't think I am finding anything especially deeper that I did with the compadre. Happy hunting - don't worry too much about more depth. The compadre will find a high percentage of what you swing it over anyway.
