Tesoro Compadre Pinpoint Mod Question

Hotwire

New member
I have a new compadre, (April, 2012) & i'm only interested in a pinpoint mod. It appears that many compadre owners would like this mod but there is very little practical information concerning this. Has anybody made this mod & are satisfied with it? I realize this voids the warranty but i can live with that.

Never tried or thought about it. I can pinpoint a BB in a second with mine and can't see where it would be practical.

What pinpoint mod?
I just look at the coil center and listen for the beep.
I call that eye, coil coordination and it doesn't take long to learn.
Pinpoints like a laser for me.

Yup, as the 2 gentleman above said, it pinpoints like a laser. If you had to switch to a pinpont mode you would actually take longer to find the target. You don't need the extra step with the C. I drew a black X with a sharpie in ther center of my coil.

The Compadre more or less IS a pinpointer. Just another one of its strengths!

.....or you can you use a dime sized dot.

That works really well. I have one on one of my other detectors.
