Tesoro coils.

not work well for you depending upon the type of site you plan to search.

The open frame design can get snagged on weeds and short, stiff brush, and if you are working a site with a lot of closely-spaced targets, masking can easily be an issue. I have seen it struggle for a few people when hunting an very trashy, iron infested site, and it fails miserably on my Nail Board Performance Test. That said, it can still be handy for some in a more open area.

However, on my Bandido II microMAX and Silver Sabre microMAX, as well as by older Bandido II, I keep a 6" Concentric coil mounted because I usually hunt very trashy and brushy environments. Then, when it is more open with greater target spacing and I want just a little more coverage and depth, the round 8" or 8X9 Concentric coils work better for me. They also have less target masking and hunt in a trashy iron nail site much better than the 8X11 or other DD coils.

a guy in the detecting club im in bought the new 8x11 for his tejon. has it up for sale now. he likes the stock coil much better. i have to agree with him.

I agree with Monte. Too me this would be a open or sport field specialist. If that is where you hunt, then it will good to you if it will pickup smaller jewelry.I use the 8 inch stock coil on my Outlaw for open area hunting and the 6 inch coil for structure areas. So many of the detectors today are really set hot even with the sensitivity on low and even small coils won't get the job done.My Vaquero was tough in those deep sand volley ball courts where my bad ground is, but it was too hot for me around metal structures and fences where many of the hidden coins and jewelry is. Anyway to me it is horses for courses with detectors and coils. Good Luck!

I use the 8 x 11 on my Vaquero when I'm hunting the local ball fields. I has exceptional sensitivity to small gold and pretty deep for my area where the soil is high in alkali. I found my smallest ladies gold 10k ring weighing at 9.2gn found at 4 in with a good solid tone.
