Tesoro Cibola, Vaquero Questions on deep targets??

Ok here's a question.. You are running around 10 sens, you get a weak target. You turn up the sens a bit and see if it repeats. My question is do you see if it repeats both side to side and front to back, like making an x to pinpoint or do you just go side to side and say thats good enough then dig?

Do you need to hear a good repeating signal on all 4 sides, if you know what i mean. Just trying to get a feel for what everyone does.

I used to be strict about doing all sides, now I just listen to it side to side. You gotta dig those iffy signals!

It is a two sided sword. A four way beep will sure make your odds of being a good target much better but I have dug enough "maybe" two way targets that paid off, I dig almost all deep targets as long as I'm able.

It depends on how hard the ground is and where I'm digging if I dig 2 way signals. Lay some trash and coins on the ground real close to one another and you will see that masking will cause good targets to sound iffy. On heavy hunted areas, iffy targets might be the way to go.

On deep targets I'll make sure I get at a solid beep side to side, and I'll dig it, even if I get a weaker or somewhat broken tone front to back. Good rule of thumb, "when in doubt, dig it out".

This seems like wwould do as well. You tesoro guys are the best, I don't care what anyone else
Says.

Just what are those other guys saying?:lmfao: I have had at least 4 small gold rings give good signals only side to side, but not back and forth. They were standing perpendicular. Think of how a target would appear to a coil if it were vertical, aslant, or near trash.
