Tesoro Cibola :tesoro::usaflag: Zeroing In On Some Old Silver Coins:detecting:

I went back to the ole house site this morning to see what the Cibola could do with the Sharpshooter Coil attached. I'm just amazed how quiet the Cibola ran considering all the nails and EMI. A lot quieter than the AT Pro, Deleon, and Outlaw at this particular site. I've pulled some really good silver coins from this site so far and I just know that there are some good ones left to find. Maybe even a gold ring.:) The big surprise today was unearthing a massive silver ring. It could be just a coincidence, but last night when I was rubbing my Genie I was thinking it has been awhile since I've found a silver ring. It was a happy surprise. I also ended up finding a Buffalo Nickel, a 1912 V Nickel, a 1907 Indian Head Penny, a Memphis Rail Token and a few Wheat Pennies (1911, 1944, 1942). This Cibola sure is fun to use.

Lucky me, I spoke with the neighbor next to the ole home site today and got permission to detect his yard. :detecting: His house was built around 1908.

Durn You and your Genie all to hades!

That is a big ring! looks old too from the hallmarks anyway? Whatcha think? Is it an old one?...need any help with that old yard? I'll get all the clad out of your way in short order, and then just sit under a tree on a cooler and watch you hunt!...Now, tonight, you gotta give that Genie a rub, and tell her you need to find a gold coin!:clapping: Man, Tab! You sure are stringing together quite a year!:surprised:
Mud

that is a keeper , ring, I can see your ground is not friendly to anything that is not silver or Gold, looks like one good thing about the cibola & vaq is they are able to run well around EMI If i remember the Vaq was good around the power lines

Thanks. The ring looks old, but I don't know for sure though. There's not much clad to clear out. I'm digging a lot of trash because I don't want to miss a good relic when I'm at a old site like this. You just never know what might be there to be found. I have high hopes for tomorrow's hunt. I'm rubbing the heck out of my Genie before I leave out.:)

Man , thats a red nickle .

Our ground is not kind to copper. I did find one Buffalo Nickel that was in great shape, it was almost a bronze black color.

Love that railway token. And everything else of course. Great hunt! Congrats on the permission.

Thanks. I'm finding quite a few of those.

Gunnar you're right about our ground not being friendly. Yes both the Cibola and Vaquero seem to do well around power lines. Especially when using the smaller coils.

You can tell by the "junk shot" that tabman earns every good target he gets. There is more to it than luck, like hunting in the right location, and digging a lot.

No silver today, but I'm finding some really old coins, so some silver is going pop soon. I found a few Wheat Pennies ( 1919, 1945, 1916, 1928 ), a 1917 Buffalo Nickel, a 1910 V Nickel, and a 1900 Indian Head Penny. The 1919 wheat penny and 1900 Indian Head penny were stuck together. After finding the sign (Housekeepers Rooms, I figured out where the the 2 foot walk used to led to. I'd still be out there swinging looking for a silver coin even if it was raining down hale and brimstone, but my wife told me I had better be home early to do something for her.:)

I'm loving this Cibola and Sharpshooter combo.

That is some picking through the junk and finding some great keepers. Tabman I think you are doing what we may all end up doing in the future? We will have to dig up the trash to pick up the good stuff. Your finds keep me motivated to keep going out there with the compadre and digging up the trash. Thanks...Z

Tabman,
You have really been getting some nice finds from that old home site!!!
That is a nice silver ring you have there too!!
It is amazing to see what you have been pulling out of the ground...keep it up and good luck!!!
