I got a really start this morning to tryout a new site and was greeted by a black cat. I fired up the Cibola while it was still dark in hopes of beating the heat. Nothing was coming my way except clad coins, trash and a few wheat pennies. Will the silver streak end today? The dew was wet and messing and the blood sucking mosquitoes were out in record numbers. It felt like a steam room it was so humid. I pushed on, because I need some silver to keep the streak going. Finally I got a soft sweet audio signal and popped a Rosie. By this time, I was ready to call it a day with less than two hours of detecting time put in. This heat and humidity makes detecting not so fun. I may take a break for awhile, until the we get another cold front through here. At any rate, I ended up with a 1964 Rosie, some clad coins, lots of nickels including a Buffalo Nickel and a bunch of Wheat Pennies (1927, 19??, 1955, 1936, 1953, 1958 ).
I was using my normal settings. Discrimination was set where a Gatorade Sports Drink Foil Cap just discriminates out, a slight hum on the threshold, a little negative on the GB, and full sensitive. I was using the Sharpshooter coil.

Most of my finds comes in the early morning hours. It may have something to do with EMI or maybe I'm just more in tuned because I'm not wore out yet. That close-up shot of the dime was taken just as the Sun was starting to show its face. It makes for a cool picture.
