Tesoro Cibola :tesoro::usaflag: An Array Of Finds:detecting:

I took my Cibola with the 8 inch doughnut coil out for a little action this morning. I was able to run full sensitivity and had the discrimination set where a foil cap just discriminates out. I felt like I was in a good location to find something really good. Maybe next time. I did manage to find a couple of pieces of 925 silver. I think I only need 15 or so more pieces to hit the hundred mark for the year. The bracelet that I found was in twenty pieces spread over about a square foot area and was from 3 to 4 inches deep. I almost didn't dig because it sounded too big. Then I got to thinking about it might be a big silver coin spill and decided to investigate. Digging all those pieces nearly worked me to death. I also found a couple of wheat pennies (1942, 1922) a dollar coin, a Kennedy Half Dollar, a Midget Toy Car, 2 tokens, a quarter with a hole in it, a compact, some clad coins and some other stuff. I had great day and had lots of fun. I felt like I was in the zone.:)

what kind of depth are you getting with the 8 inch doughnut on the cibola?

About the same depth as I do with the 9 x 8 stock coil. It will jump all over a dime at 8 inches or so. It will hit a nickel even deeper.

Great finds Tabman, you're giving me the itch to get another Tesoro!

Tab nice silver finds,

Thats a good old hunt there...whats the deal with the bracelet? was it strung together with some sort of cord that rotted? a dollar coin and a JFK half on the same day is rare. Yeah, you were in the zone alright..quite a variety.:clapping:

Yeah, the bracelet was held together with some type cord that rotted away. I was thinking of you and coin spills when I decided to dig. It's hard for me to tell the difference between a large deep 'junk' target and a coin spill. On those large deep targets after digging down around 7 inches or so and my ProPointer still indicates that it's a large target, I put the plug back in and rescan the target. The second scan tells me what I should have known on the first scan. A large deep junk target's audio tone is definitely different from a coin signal. I'm too fast to dig on some targets.:)

When I'm at a good site that can produce some good relics, I like to dig all good audio signals above foil. It's no telling what you might find.

Every dig is a mystery and exciting.
