Tesoro Bandido II uMax Finds The Gold :usaflag:

I was back at the soccer field again early this morning. One minute into the hunt and the first beep, I dig this nice wedding band. It hit really hard. I knew I had something good under the coil by the way my Bandido screamed at me to dig.

I have posted before on how hot the Bandido II uMax is on nickels, so I knew it would be hot on gold as well. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?17,1499090,page=1
"I've found 65 nickels in three days with the Tesoro Bandido II uMax. Gold jewelry is on the menu. I'm running zero discrimination."

I've calibrated the discrimination knob to discriminate out nickels at '5' on the dial. I hunted today with no discrimination and dug without checking to see where the targets discriminated out. It beeped, I dug.

After I got home I checked where the ring discriminated out on the dial. It was '6". A fancy high dollar screen display detector would have lied and said it was a pull tab.

Tesoro makes the best detectors. Period

Nice one tabman,

I hinted at how good the Bandido ll

Great hunting!

Nice dig tabman. Even with those high dollar screen detectors, one's gotta dig those tab readings if one is going to find some gold. Good job! HH jim tn

Those soccer fields can often be good places to pop some nice jewelry items, especially when they are frequently used by the 'cultures' that seem to wear more gold items. We have a lot of those types of gaming sites around here in NW Oregon, and ample 'gold culture' soccer players to sometimes leave us a nice 'gift.'

Now, if you don't mind, let me share a few 'opinions' I have regarding your post. Nothing negative intended.

Of all Tesoro models ever made, I still like the 'original' Bandido or Bandido II or Silver Sabre II or Pantera, and a smaller-than-stock-coil, if I am hunting sites that are heavily littered with iron trash. They just handle it better and quieter.

That said, for all-around, day-to-day hunting, I still like the Bandido II

With " no discrimination"? Do you mean you hunted in the All Metal mode, or with the Discriminate level set at minimum? The Bandido II
