Tesoro Amigo II takes on a new look

Sven

Well-known member
Started playing around with the Amigo that I got from previous post.
For such a small detector and not having the speed handle attached, sure was coil heavy. That 7" sucker weighs about 11 oz.

Had a bunch of extra Tesoro and Fisher handle parts kicking around. And settled on the Fisher F2 s-handle
set-up with a Minelab foam handle and Tesoro armrest.

Feels very nice now and weighs in at 2 1/4 pounds with battery.
I am itching to go try it on the beach this weekend providing the rains hold off.

Wife is liking her Tek Delta more and more, good for me, I'll be taking ownership of the Amigo...LOL

Hey Sven, Your "Little Buddy" looks plum cool with his new "duds" and with you becoming his "Daddy" now, ya just gotta be thinkin "how lucky can a guy get"? I would say you done got pretty dang lucky!!! HH Charlie

Hi Sven,

I'm just getting back into the hobby myself and I have a couple of Amigo II also. I just wanted to say that that is a pretty cool fix. Also, I don't know if you are in the habbit of thumbing the disc knob as you hunt, but if you turn your box around you might be able to do that with it. I like the idea, thanks for showing us all.

HH,
