Got new 5.75 concentric coil today, the stock plastic bolt to mount coil, the mount hole is to small for stock bolt, well two choices, drill to bigger size, which i decided not to do because i felt it may break mount flange on coil,or choice #2 go to home depot,go to screw section, look in nylon bolt cabinet #10-24x1-1/2(2 in pack)get matching nuts(2 in pack)worked great.Chuck. cost=$1.24

I think you made a good choice with #2, Chuck.

If the Home Depot parts aren't fitting quite as well you want, give Tesoro a call and I'm sure they'll take care of you.

They.ve sent me a couple connecting nuts, bolts and washers in the past. And they did it gratis.

Tesoro went to a larger bolt size a year or so ago as the older small ones tended to strip out pretty quick. They sent me new sets of the larger ones, I drilled the ears out on my coils and have never looked back...and no more stripped bolts. I used to carry extras with me all the time, not any more!!

Total agreement on BIGCATDADDY' s insight. Tesoro went to a larger bolt size and i drilled out to fit not only my 5 Tesoros, but also 3 minelabs and i forgot how many others.never regretted it. years ago , i did not like the idea of having stainless steal bolts so close to coil, especially when you have a no motion pinpoint in all metal. i dont think it made too much difference if you have GB, but better safe than sorry.sorry i wrote this fast and cant finish.HH sam in ms

Hum? Did you buy a used 5.75 ?

I know Tesoro changed bolts because they once used metal as I recall.

Never drill out anything on a detector.

You did good by deciding on the Depot.
