Tesoro 10-1/2" concentric coil?

Any of you guys used one of these coils? How do they do compared to a 8" round coil on depth? I got one and haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I was wondering what type of hunting scenario they're best for. Thanks

It will give you an extra couple of inches in depth and is best used in large open areas that are not too trashy. Without the coil cover, it's lighter than the 9 x 8 inch coil, so swinging it is a joy. I had one, but sold it because I prefer hunting trashy sites that others avoid.:detecting:

Thanks for the info Tabman I put it on my Sidewinder and took it out to my test garden it hit my 6" silver dime loud and clear and it also hit on my 9" CW bullet this was in disc mode sensitivity a little past 10 disc at 2. I love the weight of this setup,I know I can swing it all day. I will put it on my Bandido II later and see how it does.

I have the same opinion as tabman.
I use my 10.5" coil on my Bandido all the time. It gets about 2 inches more depth on all coins but it can miss some of the small jewelry that the 8" coil will detect
It's a good choice for older coins in low trash areas.

I pretty much agree with what's been posted. I have one and most often use it for increased ground coverage. Don't know if I've missed any small jewelry items using it, but I know I've dug numerous dimes as far as coins go.
