Tersoro repair?

action

New member
Just wondering if anyone has sent a detector it for repair? How long did it take to get it back? Mine has been gone about a month which is no big deal, Just kind of wondering how long it takes.
Thanks Jack

It doesn't take a month to test and repair a machine. I suppose it's possible that they have so much equipment sent in for repair that they just can't keep up though I find that unlikely.

Have you tried calling or e-mailing them for a status update?

Thanks for the reply,
I am sure they are working on it and I will get it when they are done. I know they have it as I received the user manual I asked for. I thought it kind of funny that they didn't just send the manual with the detector. I also got a manual from Monte just in case, Thanks Monte. I have e-mailed a couple of times but no reply. The only time I called was just before I sent it in. I will give them a little more time and then I will call again. It is the first Bandido that i sent and is pretty old so maybe that is why.
Thanks Jack

How much time is spent in shipping to and fro and of course how busy they are...To me sounds like too long so contact Tesoro. As far as older detectors heck they have parts for 25 year old units and repair older units every day with no problems...Probably best service after buying new or used on the planet and quite a statement as most manufactures provide good service....

Hi dan

I have a Cibola and there is nothing rong with it. But I put it through some heavy use. It get's real dirty, sweaty and lots of coil ware.

If some thing does go wrong with it, and I know it depends on what goes wrong, is it a good idea to send it to Tesoro or just buy another one?

Happy hunting

Ok, My mistake. It has only been about 3 weeks. Just a little excited and want to get started using it so it seems like forever. I bought this new and just never used it. now (17 years later) I really want to use this machine. Did not mean to bad mouth Tesoro as I am a Big fan. Just can't wait to really try this machine. I was thinking about buying a new detector until I heard about Tesoro's warranty. I just can't wait.

Bandido made it home on 10-17-07, Thanks Tesoro. Rusty said they re-calibrated it and installed a new battery door (which was missing) All N/C. The coil had a small crack in it-looks like over the years I may have dropped something on it but rusty said it is still good but not water proof and to put some epoxy on it, which I did. So it should be good to go.
My head phones seem to be long gone, Can you recommend a good pair? Also will it work with out head phones? I would like to play this week-end.
Thanks for everyones help.
Jack

I'm glad that your "best friend" is now home again. I sent my Tiger Shark back for repair and it was back in two weeks. I sent it back in late winter/early spring. Great service. When it comes to customer service after the sale, you can't beat Tesoro.
