Terrible day hunting with the EDGE

Haven't been out for two weeks, too hot and the grounds too dry. Don't want to cause any yellow plugs.....
Decided to head out to a small lakeside park with a small beach. Got there around 6pm. No spot to park, had to be content with looking the area over then leaving.
Looks like a perfect spot to hit, it's in an out of the way location and the folks having fun on the grass and in the water were not your moneyless, jewelryless younger kids.
Appears older folk visit this place from the middle 20's to the 80's. So I just envisioned all those people leaving a bit of treasure behind.........will be coming back in short order some early morning....

Afterwards headed out to a schoolyard sports field I hunted before that needed to be hunted in areas not hunted yet, big Frisbee tournament was going on. So much for that place. Hope they drop some goodies.

Then it was off to try another soccer field, ground was dry and the sod had turned yellow grass. Hunted in the area that was not sodded with green grass. Found 2 pennies, heard some noise, turned around. Dang, a whole league of girlie players arrived on the field, they weren't even attractive. So I packed up and moved onto another elementary school, that I never found anything at. Before stopping there picked up a Slurpie, then sat at the schoolyard looking it over. After 20 minutes of finding nothing but another couple pennies, decided to call it quits.

Big holiday coming up this weekend, hopefully I can be one of the early birds at our local beach with a detector next Monday morning.

Have to get my sand scoop and water detectors ready for some water hunting.
