Terrain Problems :sadwalk:

:sadwalk: Well I thought a new, more sensitive detector would solve my problems, but I may be alone with this one. Living in South Jersey in the Southern Delaware Valley, I have to deal with soft loose silt. This means that at many sites I have to dig about 5 inches just to find a 1980's roosevelt dime. It means the only chance I have of finding older more valuable coins and relics is working well traveled, packed areas, or driving about an hour in each to find more of the clay and/or sandy soils. Does anyone else out there have similar issues? I spend 2 hours yesterday digging around the foundation of a 225 year old house only to find 10 year old bottle caps and similar junk. The only bright note was 70+ degree temps and sunny skies!
