Tennessee soils Vs. VA sandy soils

I am planning a hunt to VA. What setting changes, if any, will i need to make to my XS to allow for the different types of soil. I hunted in VA one other time with a non-Minelab machine and i spent the first days digging pulltabs and getting zero depth using Tennessee settings. It is a long way to go just to dig pulltabs. Thanks
