Tennessee CW Finds Last Week and 11 Lbs. of CW Lead

VOL1266X

New member
We had several rain showers last week but I slipped in 4 hunts. I hunted twice with Dman, made a solo hunt, and hunted Friday with Tim G. Two different U.S. CW camps were hunted. The first pic shows the finds from the two camps. The first two rows of bullets are from a camp where the soldiers were issued .54 cal. weapons. The soldiers in the other camp used .58 cal. rifles. Brass was hard to find with only one brass pack stud or harness brad being recovered.
Most people put their pennies and loose change in a jar. Since I began relic hunting 13 years ago, I have saved fired bullets, damaged bullets, and campfire lead. My accumulation weighs 11 lbs. minus 2-3 lbs of fired bullets that I have given away to friends and school kids while making CW History presentations at local schools.

Merry Christmas and "May you make great finds in 2009"

2008 CW Relic count=175 YTD

Big ole pile of lead! I keep all of my camp lead. My wife is convinced I will get lead poisoning from handling it!
