Ten pound boots

With the temperature at 49 this afternoon, one day before another deep freeze, I thought I would give field hunting another go............. tough hunting.....:veryangry:...... The top couple of inches were thawed and the next 5 inches were ice but the exhausting walk through the mud had its reward in the end. 1851-O Half dime.......

I wonder if ML has a plug in for some battery heated socks?

You have colder weather there....but get older stuff. Nice for you!

Nice Larry... I knew where the thread was going when I read the title.. We had a bit of a thaw here which allowed me to get out today to a local corn field, but cold weather is coming our way tomorrow (I imagine you already seen it) and after the heavy rain we are getting now, I am sure I will have to really put the detector away for good for the season.

I know how you feel.....LOL

We are having your weather tomorrow, today Gary. 49 and sunny yesterday, freezing rain right now and 0 degrees tonight. I think I'm done for the season as well but what a way to close out 2013 :clapping:

Had to  I had the exact experience Saturday mud on top and frozen underneath for the most part of the day...and I got rewarded with a silver too a 1912-D Barber Dime.
