The only way to clean a bottle like yours is tumbling.Try to google "bottle tumbling" for people who charge a fee for this service.

Bottle tumbling machine have fixture within to keep bottles stable while tumbling. You can build a machine out of an old clothes dryer.Google bottle tumbling, clothes dryer.

Sometimes bottles can be cleaned with lead-shot, like the little lead sinkers. put a handful of the little ones in the bottle and as some water, and gently shake rattle and roll. the lead is soft and should not scratch the glass, but yet abrasive enough to wear down the oxidation on the inside. Sometimes the outside can get cleaner by scrubbing with some vinegar. Wrapping it up and soaking the cloth with vinegar can help soften the stains. However, you don't want to get it too clean, as it can actually reduce the value.

HI Fred i tryed a paint shaker at work. nOT BAD BUT IT DID A AWSOMME JOB ON THE INTERIOR . TRY SOME SILICA SAND AND FLOOR SOAP AND SOME WATER EXPERAMENT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS I WAS REALLY SUPRISED HOW IT CAME OUT . gOOD LUCK JIM:thumbup:

Yeh, I'd try a dry, fine gravelly sand inside the bottle, and swish it around gently. Also have you thought of bleach. It shouldn't harm the glass, and may get rid of the stains all together. I'd leave the bleach in the bottle for 24 hour, and see how you go.:)
