Tell me all about why I would want a new AT Gold

It will do what those mentioned detectors will do....sometimes better, sometimes not, but it is water proof and has a unique audio sound for high conducters. It also has the iron audio to help eliminate junk. It has excellent separation capabilities and depth will vary as with all other metal detectors depending on set-up, coil type and coil size. And the cost of this machine will surprise you!

Its waterproof duder.I been looking at one myself.I own a gold bug pro but think am alsways wanting to try something new.I have had sucess with the gold bug pro, kinda its lacking depth and needs repair.
The aT pro gold seems to have all the issues worked out and gets real good depth, real good.I think its depth may be better than the gold bug pro,but as I lack a properly working gold bug pro and also the 11" coil can not really give a true answer on its real depth power. The At pro sounds like it will detect a 10" penny in ground with ease.

I want it for my park/coin/back up gold detector. Also vlf fresh ater hunting. It sure many uses and the waether proof housng really and the true-all metal mode/19khz freq is also what i am looking for.
I do and will get a White's V3 but for waterproof and durabilty the at pro would be a very good choice for prospectors.I am sure it will hit smaller gold than you think.

Well with a name like Jackaroo i presume you are Aussie? then at this stage i wouldn't buy one as they are cause for concern on Australian high mineralised soils. belkieve that Garrett are looking at fixing it but don't know how long that will take.

there is a big discussion board on this topic at
