i had very good luck with mine on the silver it added about another 2 to 3" depth worked great for fields only bad thing the coil made it a bit nose heavy and maybe its just me but seemed to go through batterys faster than usual?
A added 2-3 inches makes a big difference I think. Mascard let me use one he had. I had to really shoten the shaft on my Bandido due to the weight it added up front.
I guess I'd better start pumping iron and get my arm built up for it then ,,,, and all the deeper coins I'll be luggin,,, lol
Do you think it is absolutely necessary to send the whole MD with the new coil in for calibration,,, or just run ut ?
I'd try it first. If it doesn't seem to offer a bit more depth or causes chatter and falsing, then a trip to the factory is probably in order. Generally coil changes on the preset Tesoros work just fine, but having the machine sent in and tuned to that particular coil is the best way to be sure you're getting the optimum that coil/detector combo can produce. Of course that may cause some mismatch with other coils. I've only used the 10X12 on the DeLeon (which caused a bit of chatter at my location) and the Eldorado which worked fine due to the manual ground balance which eliminates any tuning problem.

I got he 5.75 also absolutely a great tool in the trash. I will be using the 10xx12 in cleaner areas and hoping for more depth,,, thanks all for your comments,,, next I want to try the 11 inch widescan,,,,,
Mine came in this past month and currently designing, when i get to it, a new mount for the stem, hopefully it will be balanced
so much better. When the mount is finished will make a post.
