I had a Platinum for a few weeks (all the platinums at my local dealer had electronic issues) but decided to go in another direction. I've had the T2 for 3 months now.
I was horrified to hear that pitiful T2 signal (disc mode) at only 8 inches in your video. I would easily miss that in trash.
My Platinum did not come with a DD coil, I bet that helps out. Thanks for the video.
 
Glad you guys like my video! If you check out my YouTube channel you will notice some other vids with the T2 and Platinum. The T2 does go deeper than the BH, but the Platinum is still a very nice machine.
 
If you tweak the disc mode on the T2 it will pick that coin up no problem. I pulled an 1899 barber at that depth in disc mode. That's on a video also, and a 7" siver ring with the Platinum. The DD coil on the platinum makes the machine way better.
