Teknetics T2 SE vs XP Deus

I would like to see someone compare signals on a hunt with the T2 and the Xp Deus, I think the T2 will do everything that the Xp Deus will do and at almost half the price.

Unfortunately the T2se can't switch frequencies , can't allow you to detect wirelessly or go submerged , so you're going to lose an argument on those grounds right from the start. You pay more for the Deus because you get more. If you have the T2se with FA (assuming it's the same as a F75se) and the small coil , you may actually find targets the Deus can't , as the woeful lack of a small coil and crappy TID of the Deus in modern trash handicap it in those environments. Neither is spectacular at TID in modern trash but that appears to be a trade off one makes with fast recovery digital sounding electronics. If both are equipped with the same size coil and you have FA on the T2 , it will be a horse race on shallow targets but the Deus will triumph eventually.

The Deus update is rumored to address it's shortcomings but I have my doubts as to how many of us will live long enough to see it.

The Deus will SMOKE that Tek T2!!! The Deus is
much more adaptable to many different hunting
scenarios where that T2 will be left behind... JMHO!

And the "debate" goes on! ;)-----This detector wasn't asked about---but---I like my G2+ better than either one of those mentioned detectors (and I've owned/used all three).----Don't beat me up for saying this---it's JMHO.:)

It is so great to have so many choices of metal detectors.
I look at them like tools ... each one has something that they do extremely good.
No one detector will do it all but some come close lacking one or two ability's.

The Deus is a great land and dry beach machine but falls very short as a water detector.
It requires a wave guide (A LONG WIRE) to bring the wireless signal out of the water and to the headphone remote.
If for some reason that wire jerks the small remote module off the headphone and into the water ... $300 for a replacement.
The larger remote box is $800 ... even worse!
Compare that to a $100 set of headphones on some other detector being ruined by the water.
So I would not classify the XP Deus as a water detector even if it can be jury rigged to work (at great risk) in the water.
Being a single frequency detector it is totally unsuitable for salt water use.

Like I said ... detectors are tools ... each having there strengths and shortcomings.

An before you say I am a XP Deus hater ... I own one and love it for what it is and what it can do.
On dry land I doubt it would leave much behing for others to find.

Just to bring this thread back,I own a F75ltd2 and a deus 3.2 ...The deus is definitely not the better of the 2 imo,I have time on both and would pick the fisher every time..My f75ltd2 is wireless at a quarter of the price of deus wireless ws4 headphones..i just see absolutely nothing in the deus the fisher can't do,or do better in most cases,,and don't see why anyone thinks the deus is better than a t2 or a f75? Owning both I'm not seeing it guys..that's a honest answer

Unless some new groundbreaking tech comes out, I have not and never will spend over $900.00 for a detector. I enjoy the hobby but never want to feel that I have to justify the price I paid for a machine. The Deus gets high marks for certain types of hunting, especially in the UK, but I have and enjoy using multiple detectors and between them they get the job done for me.

Yeah I'm gettin old, crusty and opinionated.
