Teknetic's T2 Goes Wireless and gets LED Night Vision

KCK

New member
Right out of the Box....Didn't even get her turned on and the wife had to have her LED Night Vision... and Wireless Head Phones installed immediatily.:crylol:

So of course I told to hold on to her britches:rofl: I'd get to it as soon as I could!:heh:

:argue:Then she said ...you do want dinner tonight don't you?

So here's the first pictures, I changed the base and the stand to hold the wireless transmitter, I'm not sure if I'll leave it this way or change it a bit. I see a modification in it's future.
The Tek went together really easy. And I was impressed with it's durability. I think the coil mount could have been made just a touch stronger. but all in all it was very sturdy. Will probably order an extra shaft for those just in case moments that always happen!

The Coil protector went on smooth and the coil wire stays were a pretty cool treat also. Nice touch Teknetic's Team! The shaft slides are nice and the locking tabs were also a plus over the standard shafts of the past!:beers: Trigger on the handel was in a very sweet position and seems like it's going to be nice and comfortable to work with. Batteries installed easily and replacement is also easier than other detectors to change! Heck 40 hours on 4-aa cells...I'm already saving money over my Garrett! Another plus for Tek Team.

Will that's the indoor put it together test. Passed quality control here with flying colors. Very lightweight.
Oh I did turn it on and threw a quarter down outside in the rain. Id'ed it before it could get the display wet...THAT'S FAST! It ID'ed SUPER FAST! AWESOMELY FAST! REALLY!:yikes: And
what little I heard of it ...I"M EXCITED! Oh Yea!

I'll post more later, It's raining out but I got to to the store for a moment!
You guys that can...Get out there and find something!

This isn't going be a good review just some intial impressions...I really didn't have any doubts about this T2. I just knew if it was today's technology and yesterday's Tek guys that it would somehow be one of the most exciting machines ever built to hunt with, my initial impression, "Fantastic Guys & Girls"... Aaron can tell you I loved my ole Tek, but I will not be disappointed with the NEW Teknetic's T2.

I'm sorry ...I can't compare it to todays minelab, Fisher, or some of the other Brand Named detectors, but I can compare it to the GTI 2500 that I now have for sale. HeHeHe.... Still a little early I guess!

But WOW you gotta see this thing working. Minelabs may be this good too ,I don't know, but I know that this T2 ID'ed faster than anything I've ever seen in 8 years of detecting. Not only was it super fast at ID but true too ID and fast to ID depth, a lot of depth, incredible depth!

If you had your doubts...forget them! This sucker is punching open air depths that ...well you'll just have see for yourself you wouldn't believe me anyway!

Hopefully I can have time to use this T2 in the field by this weekend. But the hour in the yard tonight was dynomite!

"Tek"... if your monitoring the boards tonight, you go to bed and sleep well tonight, sleep with a smile on your face, knowing that this is going to be one hot detector's around and it really put a smile on my face tonight!

Cool mods. How do you keep from banging that stand against your hip when your swinging the detector?

The way you hold and swing your detector may be different than mine. BUt if you look at the position of the legs of the stand they are always behind you close to buttocks but doesn't get in the way. The good part is I use this on all my detectors and it works the same for all of them.

Here's a picture of the one on my GTI and it works good too!

Best of all even on a wet day the detector stays high and dry, also well balanced, may add 1/4 pound to your detector weight, but I don't have to bend over far to pick it up! It really does make a nice difference!

Here's the site...They operate on FM Band and work great for my applications. The also are FM radio recievers too!
