Any mention of the price yet?

.

The MAP price is $699.00 and hopefully they will be available some time in May. Based on what little info I have gotten on it the G2 is going to be a killer detector! :teknetics:

Tom

killer on gold?..it's running at 19 khz and change!..sounds more like a gold sniper than a coin sniper!
hope i am wrong!

Running at 19 khz it will be very good on any small items of gold or silver, its exactly the same as the new gold bug pro apart from the 11 coil and a pistol handle

Its suppose to be as deep as a Teknetics T2 LTD OR fisher F75 LTD

I live in the UK and this detector is going to be what we have being waiting for.

You HOPE it's what you've been looking (waiting) for.----Won't know till the "rubber hits the road".----We can all be optimistic though--nothing wrong with that!

Yes I hope

The xp goldmax power running at 18 khz is one of the best detectors used in the Uk, the problem with it is it lacks depth, has no meter, and the discrimination is not that good.

On paper the G2 has all the above and more

this machine is going to be a hammered coin and small roman coin magnet

Probably not the best choice for coin hunting in trashy old parks.

Probably not, your better off with somthing like a V3 for that type of hunting

Here in the Uk we search ploughed fields so the only thing the G2 would have to deal with is small iron nails.

yeah!..troy came out with an x-5 a while ago,and it 's frequency
was also set at 19 khz and change!.. i think relic hunters found favor with it,however
not sure it did very well in trash infested sites, because of it's proclivity for sniffin' out
small pieces of metal!..that can be tedious and aggravating in a "typical" "cooked" site with an abundance of junk!
i guess one can argue though, that because of it's lightening fast processor, that maybe some of that situation can be mitigated to
a certain extent!..will be interesting what the field tests reveal about it!

There is some talk that the G2 and the Fisher Gold Bug 3 are the same machine apart from the stock coils and stem, is this the case??
