Teknetics G2 Pulls Old Sterling Ring From The Trash

I went back to the spot where Ive been finding lots of Mercury Dimes and old Wheat Back pennies. It was cold, damp and muddy today. I had the 11 inch DD coil attached to the G2. I set the ground balance at 64, minimum discrimination and maximum sensitivity. It didn't take long before I got a strong clear 84/85 ID with a depth reading of 5 inches. I just knew I had me another Mercury dime.:) Nope, I dug down around 5 inches and out pops an old sterling silver ring. I didn't hunt long, because it was too damn cold. I'm going back for that silver quarter that keeps eluding me. I know there's one there. It's just a matter of time before I find it.

Tab when it is cold or just a bad day set your sensitivity on 80 and cherry pick the silver then go back later for the gold and pull-tabs. I also live in TN. and it has been terrible weather to detect. Congratulations on the ring. HH :teknetics::minelab::fisher:

Nice ring. Both the G2 and the Gold Bug are very good machines for picking the goodies out of the trash.

Nice score Tabman,
Hey I like that digger what is that? looks like a lesh with a better handle from what I can see.
I too have a gold bug and a G2 I'm wondering what is your reasoning behind this? Being that the pro and the G2 are supposed to be the same.

For me I have both because I bought before the 2.9 came out and my bug has saturated audio. I bought a G2 because I wanted the finished product.
Both are awesome I was impressed from the get go.( THANK YOU DAVE AND THE TEAM AT F.T.P!!!!!!!!) My bug is the deep seeking brute though and the G2 is the finesse between the lines.

Keep it commin,

I'm sorry I missed this post somehow. I have both the Gold Bug Pro (4.0, the latest version) and the G2, because I ran across a great deal on the G2 locally. They're identical except for the rod configuration. I'll be selling one of them here shortly. The digger is a Lesche with a T-handle attached. I have a back-up one just in case I lose one, because I'd be lost without one. It makes digging so much easier!
