I went back to the spot where Ive been finding lots of Mercury Dimes and old Wheat Back pennies. It was cold, damp and muddy today. I had the 11 inch DD coil attached to the G2. I set the ground balance at 64, minimum discrimination and maximum sensitivity. It didn't take long before I got a strong clear 84/85 ID with a depth reading of 5 inches. I just knew I had me another Mercury dime. Nope, I dug down around 5 inches and out pops an old sterling silver ring. I didn't hunt long, because it was too damn cold. I'm going back for that silver quarter that keeps eluding me. I know there's one there. It's just a matter of time before I find it.
