Teknetics G2 On Clean-up Detail

I went back over the old house site that I've been hunting. A lot of lead has come out of an area that's around 75' x 150'. I was using the 11 inch DD coil with full sensitivity and gain. I had the tone break set at 39. It ground balanced at 60. With those settings the G2 was running super quiet. I found my first percussion cap today and a heart breaker earring. It first looked like the real deal, but it turned out to be gold plated. I really like the modulated audio response on the G2. It's the best that I've ever heard. My ears key in on the whisper tones. I can't figure out the cut bullet with a hole in it. Any thoughts?

Fishing sinker. Nice finds buddy.

Nice digs Tab..

the Bullet bottom is a carve...the hole is where the last bit of the cone was sliced through on the cavity of the bullet..
Ive dug a lot of those where the rings were removed like that..

Hey taxman, thank you for sharing your tone break settings of 39. Is that where you like to keep it for your CW sites you hunt? Just curious and trying to learn more about this machine

Thanks,
Bubba

Bubba I just know enough about relic hunting to be dangerous. I read somewhere that 39 was a good setting. It works for me.

Thanks again tabman. Do you run it in All metal mode then?

No, I just use the discrimination mode.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I have to say the G2 is the first machine I ever bought that lives up to the hype. It does exactly what it should do is such a simple way. One of my favorite detectors to use and a great loaner to first time diggers. One of my friends wanted to try detecting and his first coin with my G2 was a two center.
