Teknetics G2 latest information

dannydetector

New member
Just had this reply to a question i sent directly to First Texas Products asking when the detector will be released to dealers :veryangry:

I pre ordered and paid for mine over a month ago as there adverts said it would be released in April so i am bloody angry

Another 3 months to wait unless they put the release date back even further

Unfortunately we won't be releasing the G2 until app. July of this year.
We have run into some difficulties and we simply want to make sure that
we are releasing the best possible product.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact
us!

Same thing with Gold Bug. They say they will be releasing a special edition GB around 2nd week of May for $599, same Cabelas. Then the GB Pro will be
released in July for $699, all with one 5" DD. So I decided to buy the one at Cabellas now for $499 with 60 day return available, and I'm glad I did. First 2 days
out in local park I've collected over 70 coins. GB seems to be very stable and good deep signals.

- G2 will not be deeper than omega due to high frequency
- G2 will have a better identification of the object
- G2 will be better in the test aircraft
- Greater frequency in the air more
- Withes xl is the low frequency of 6.9 kHz is great for small targets
- F75 ltd lose much in comparison with air, ground
I F75 ltd and sold, is not stable, go with the 11''and omega withes xl, better equipment really work

I just don't see this detector being a great coin shooter. It'll probably be killer for relics and nugget hunting, but I would guess 19 khz is going to sound off too loud on aluminum and iron for it to be useful in some of the areas I hunt.

'm Polish, in our area will not be g2
useful
Omega works well is great http://hyy.pl/images/48Zdj_cie0009.jpg

Is the Technetics G2 the exact same machine as the brand new digital TID screen Fisher Gold Bug Pro??

Yes the electronics and interface are the same, the difference is the pistol grip handle. I think you will be surprised how well the discrimination circuitry works.

Thanks! The G2(and Gold Bug Pro) looks alot like the X-Terra 705 which does not have TID numbers in the Prospecting Mode. Does the G2's TID screen show up the TID numbers while in All-Metal gold nugget prospecting mode??

Don't see how you can make that statement when the G2 isn't even out yet.-----Guess it depends on what you are going to be hunting for (what kind of hunting you are going to be doing).----There is a WIDE spread in the frequencies of those two machines (G2 & Omega).----I know one thing, that Omega is one SWEET little machine (again, for certain types of hunting).---------Del

Here in the UK the T2 walks all over the Omega for depth

The Omega with an 11 coil does sound temping though, but after a lot of thought i took a gamble and pre ordered a G2

I will be searching ploughed fields and the 19khz will be great at finding are small medieval coinage.

The G2 is just like the new fisher gold bug and that machine is suppose to be able to match a fisher 75LTD for depth

If the Fisher Gold Bug Pro is the same as the Teknetics G2, then why is the Teknetics G2 selling for $699 versus $499 at Kellyco for the Fisher Gold Bug Pro?
There has to be a big difference between the two of them.

Yes I wonder how the new G2 is going to top the LTD even no the freq is different. I think for relics and coins the 13 kHz is great would the 19kHz hamper the search for silver? And the Omega is a great machine for silver and even relics. The G2 has to have something very different to be better then the LTD I can see why you may pass on the 8000 but I really love the 8000 for city hunting when the EMI freaks out my LTD. We will have to wait and see what it can do compared to these machines.

Yes the TID numbers show in both modes and stay there till a new target appears. I'm waiting till they come out with the 11" DD coil made specifically for the
GB then I can go meteorite hunting. Tim
