Tek G2 with 6.5" Fisher coil?

Something that some of you might like to try on your G2...

Thought I'd try something a little different today so I put my Fisher concentric 6.5" oval coil on my Tek G2. I was not disappointed...it worked fine. Gets every bit as much depth as the G2 5" DD and separated in between the junk pretty darn good. Had no problem with the pesky bottle caps as I did with the 5" DD. It works great as a micro-jewelry finder too! I picked up a BB in the volleyball court sand at 2"...man was it hard to find. My pinpointer could not find it. I kinda like the set-up and I can get pretty close to the iron swing leg pipes too.

I know it wasn't designed for a Tek G2 but it works well. And contrary as some might be afraid of...it won't hurt to try.

As a matter of fact I could run the sensitivity at 100 with very little chatter. Then again...the G2 runs pretty quiet with any of my coils (11"...5"). I sure like this unit.
