Tejon with 5.75 DD test

colt

New member
Today the USPS dropped off a 5.75 DD, so I put it on my Tejon and went out back to play. First I found a clean area and layed a nickel on the ground then did a few test with the 8X9, so I could have something to compare with. I put on the 5.75 DD and did the same test on the nickel, not much difference in depth, the main difference is in target seperation. The 5.75 DD is great, evan with a rusty nail laying on top of the nickel, I could still pick up it up with a solid must dig sound.

I can't wait to take this small coil on a real test, the nail yard!! an old calavery station in the Bradshaw Mountains, this is the one place I take every metal detector I get to. The nail yard is loaded with iron of all shapes and sizes, if I walk away with any keepers from this place, it's a passing grade, the mother of all iron test. I wil post my results.

thats the coil i would like to get next can you let us know how close you can get to metal posts in the play grounds and by metal fences as compared to the 8x9?
