Tejon vs Vaquero

I am trying to decide which to get between these two detectors.
I will be using it for hunting relics in fields and deep woods, and coin hunting around houses and demo'd houses with lots of trash, and in parks.
The ground here in Ga is alot of red clay and moderately mineralized. I am an experienced MD'er.

I like the dual disc on the Tejon, but silent search feature somehow dosen't sit right. Some say that the Tejon dosent fare as well in highly mineralized ground.

I like the 10 khz range on the Vaquero - I think it would be better for relics and coins than the 17 khz T.

Still undecided, any other considerations or recomendation?

I was reading somewhere last week where someone said they got better depth from the Vaquero, and the Cibola did just as well - for the conditions they were hunting. I don't remember where I read this, but think there was a mention on depth, soil conditions, and unwanted trash infested areas.
I guess I been reading too much on Tesoro and a few others I can't keep track anymore.

Not sure where that rummor started. It does better than most. The 17KHZ of the Tejon makes it a killer on brass buttons and gold. It is also awesome on coins and buttons on edge. To me the Tejon is the Vaquero on Steroids. The V is a bit easier to tune and use, but the T has the best depth of the two.

but I remember Ralph having a lot to say about how poorly it did in his soil as compared to the x-5. There was a lot of discussion raging about those type of things back then, and some of it may have held over. Mine tended to be a little chirpy in some of the mining areas that I took it to, but dont know if it was worse than an x-5 (or any other compariable detector) would have been. It might also be one of those thing where if something is repeated enough, it is taken as truth.
