i have a vaquero, would i gain any advantages by owning a tejon.i hunt all the usual places in whatever soils there.i'm yet to hunt in the gold fields, but after reading, the tejon does this and the tejon does that.other than owning another tesoro, would there be an advantage.hh. see ya blowfly:detecting:

The Tejon has a higher freq so you it hits harder on gold and an other low conductive metals. You would also gain several inches in depth and get a machine that hits hard on coins and buttons on edge. The dual disc is nice for checking targets and makes it very versatile, and being compatible with the Lobo gives you a large array of coils to choose from. I like to call the Tejon a Vaquero on steroids. Plus, I think a "badger" is cooler than a "cowboy" but thats because I am from Wisconsin.

i have asked this ? before myself and it almost seems like a coin flip, in other words it depends on who answers. the last response I recieved was was stick with VQ unless you have the money or get a good deal on the Tej. so I kept my Vaquero.

Just my 2cents.

I have both and are winners. In high mineralized grounds Vaquero goes deeper, imho.
All teh best,
Ale
