Tejon vs T2 SE

Hey all. I have a T2 se and was wondering if it compares in any way to the Tejon. I see from videos and research that the Tejon is deep, would it make my hunted out sites produce more do you think? I love the T2 SE but am wondering if I am missing anything.

Typical winter time musings for someone who is snowed in I guess, maybe I should be happy with what I have? Been thinking bout trading for a Tejon but would like some opinions first. Our soil is extremely mild. We hunt for old coins mainly but relics and buttons are in there as well.

I have new access to a 40 acre hay field as soon as the snow melts and I want to be best prepared.

What ya think?

A Tejon with a 5.75 concentric coil will open some of your trash laden sites better than the T2. It is also a very deep detector when using the stock coil or the 8 x 11 rsd widescan in mild soil.

The T2 with the 5" coil will surprise you as well. Plus you have all the bells and whistles of the T2.
Both similar in performance, depends upon what you want for features and setting controls.
To satisfy your curiosity you may have to own both.
Like the above poster mentioned Tejon, very deep in mild soil.

Keith S. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiKd555l9N4 loves the T2 as well as the Tejon.
He says the Tejon is one of the best single tone un-maskers in dense iron trash with the smaller coil.

Hey, I have the Tejon and the T2 SE. Both are pretty darn close in depth in good soil. The T2 does hit a little harder in boost mode but the ID is jumpy but it's definitely a good repeatable signal. I'm mainly a relic hunter so anything repeatable is going to be dug. My Tejon has always produced well and I don't think I'm missing much with it. Haven't been to any bad ground lately but I think the T2 will handle it a bit better due to the more modern technology on board. We'll see next week hopefully, got my eye on a promising site with some ugly red dirt. Hope this is of some help.

My vote would have too go for the T2 out of the machines that you have mentioned,i have about 12 coils for the T2 covering from 5'' upto 17'',the one coil that still blows me away in regards for depth for its size is the smallest 5'' one, absolutely deadly on trashy sites and when i put on the BIG NEL coil the ground coverage and depth is substantial over the stock 11'' coil.

The build quality I like better on the tejon...its got a real solid feel to it. The t2 is more versatile and adjustable and in the soil around here deeper. As another poster mentioned you cannot expect accurate meter readings in some situations but its more accurate on its audio so not a problem.

Thanks guys! I think I am going to stick with the T2 for now. I have the 5 inch coil and the stock coil. Had I the money I would buy a Tejon just to try it out. Thanks again! :)
