Tejon VCO mode

The Tejon manual states the when the vco knob is clicked CCW the tone will be louder the closer a target is to the coil and smaller or deeper targets will give a lower volume tone.
Then it states when you click CW the vco mode will no longer operate. Does this mean that all targets will have the same volume regardless of depth?

Hey Mark,

The Tejon hits loud on targets down 6 to 7 inches deep. It was strange when we first got the machine, deep targets sounded like they were right near the surface. Below that depth the signal volume will drop off with the deepest targets being just faint beep.

So if the VCO is set to 3:00, deep tragets will still give a fainter signal.

[/quote]When the Tone control is clicked in the the fully CCW position, the All Metal mode incorporates a VCO audio.

VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) provides a pitch change as well as a loudness change. You get a louder audio and greater VCO pitch change the closer the coil is to the target, and a weaker audio and less VCO pitch change on the farthest (deepest) targets from the coil.

Once you click out of the VCO setting into a 'normal' All Metal audio, you can vary the tone pitch or audio frequency to your personal preference, such as the often spoken of "3-o-clock" setting.

Once out of the VCO function, the Tej

Thanks, Monte
