Man, I'm diggin the Tejon!!! Great machine, I forgot how fun a non-meter machine was!!! Most targets were in the 6-8" level for depth, all with solid hits.

Hay MO,

That is really nice.

I just love it.

That's one awsome chewed bullet.

What's tha on tha left of tha 1st pic?

Thanks for sharin,

Tabdog

Tab, that is a piece of lead that was left in a spoon to cool. I can only imagine them making bullets with the spoon in the field. I hunted with Disc #1 at the lowest setting and Disc #2 right at the "F" in foil..............

That's awsome.

Stuff like that gives a fealing of personal

things being associated with an item.

Just too cool,

Tabdog

Nice finds.

I just bought a used Tejon and have issues with the all metal mode.

The tone in all metal mode seems unstable is that normal or do I have a problem Houston? It has a wavering tone at times and drifts up and becomes nonadjustable. I may have some electrical interference, but don't have that issue with any other machine used in same area?

I made some deep finds on some very small brass in a test run (1/8" brass rivet disc about 8"), and found items mixed in with a lot of iron. But I did seem to find iron with the discriminate all the up to max. Large, solid, rusted, iron. I had disc #1 just under 5 cent where I could still read gold and Disc #2 all the way up. My Golden doesn't seem to read iron that high.

I was hunting a yard where an old house site had been. Lot's of trash.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sounds like ya need to maybe send it in for a checkup. How high do you run the gain? Anything over 10 and it is a handfull to use. MO

When I first turn it on I have it about 3 or 4 and try to set GB and threshold etc. The threshold acts like it wants to keep increasing and I have to turn the machine off and start over. I then hunt in Disc mode and turn it up as high as I can without chatter.

I just received the machine and am still learning about it. But the unstable threshold in All Metal just does not seem right.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. Check out the Tesoro Website for the Video on ground balancing. I think that is where you are having the problem.

I don't see the ground balance technique on the Tesoro forum any more. I've never been able to hunt in all metal with the Tejon. I can with the Vaquero, but the Tejon is unstable in my ground. I think in mild ground you could do it, but not in highly mineralized ground.
