Tejon Question

Rockym

New member
Hello all,

I'm new to this forum. I have been detecting for about 20 years. I have owned and used Whites Eagle and XLT, Tesoro Stingray, and currently Fisher CZ5 and Whites Goldmaster Vsat. I just bought a Tejon and a Cibola along with 12x10 widescan and 5.75 round coils. I just finished air testing the Tejon as per the manual. I really like what I have seen so far! My question is this, I noticed I got more "depth" on a shield nickel, buffalo nickel ,wheat penny, and a gold wedding band than a seated half (or any silver coins)! Is this normal because of the higher frequency? It did pick up silver, includidng a half dime at several inches, but not like the others. Any info is apreciated.

Both of My Tejons air test nickels deeper than quarters. I also dig lots of deep nickels.
