I enjoyed both parts of your evaluation. I'd like to encourage you to continue posting.
I don't have a Tesoro anymore but really liked the thorough evaluation and detail explanation. I figure I can learn something from almost any forum and I think I learned quite a bit from just these two entries you've made.
Thank you.

Hi,
I dont know you but have to comment on your obeservations of the tesoro Tejon. You make it sound like you dont think the tejon fits the bill for your kinda detecting and guess what? It doesnt! This machine was designed by a relic hunter for relic hunting pure and simple. Sure its a hot tesoro and maybe thats why all these beach hunters and coin hunters feel they need to have one only to find out like you its a little noisy and not the easiest detector to operate.I'm glad tesoro made the new machines.Maybe now if you dont relic hunt you wont need to try and put down a detector that people are trying to make into something that it wasnt designed for! Take your CZ into the woods against me and my tejon I'll hurt your feelings. Same goes for you and the beach. Me and my tejon are out of our element and I'm sure I'd have a hard time keeping up with you. The tejon is a relic machine and an awsome one, as thats what it was designed for.Its definitely not a beach and coin hunting machine so remember that! Its not fair to judge a detector in an enviroment in which it wasnt designed to be used!!!

Thanks for the flowers from several who have read my previous posts on the Tejon. My post was aimed at those attempting to make a decision on whether to try the Tejon for use in freshwater beach hunting. There is precious little web information on the suitability of ANY detectors for freshwater small gold hunting. For those from the Relic Hunting community, who have expressed concern that I have chosen the wrong tool for my purpose, then I would like to send along some thoughts in a non-prejudicial way.
To those of you who have assigned I guess, what I would consider almost pet status to this machine, then I may offend your sensibilities even further, but will say what I believe is necessary. The Tejon does not know it is a Relic Machine, it does not know it has a name
