Tejon not much depth

Hopefully this has gotten someone to open up this, and finally give me an answer I have been trying to get answered for over a month now. Has anyone tried the new 12x10 DD coil on the Tejon. If you have, I would like to hear what kind of depths you are getting with it, especially on bullets, buttons, etc. Thanks, Mark

I haven't used 10X12 on a Tejon but have used one on other Tesoros, and 10, 11 or 12 inch coils on most of the other brands, so I'll give a "semi edjumucated" opinion. All of the larger than standard coils added some depth, but not as much as some would have us believe on coin size targets. A 10X12 on the µMax models added maybe two inches at most in depth on quarters, less on smaller coins. The other brands large coils gave similar results. The larger coils added more depth on larger targets than on coin size targets but also lost some sensitivity to smaller targets (tiny buttons, 3 cent coins, etc.). Since all coils, whether they be widescan or concentric, function basically the same way and are all bound by the same laws of physics, there's no reason to think the 10X12 coil for the Tejon would give much different results.
