tejon impresses me

basstrackerman

Well-known member
i did some more checking with diff items on my 3 detectors and the tejon is very impressive. as far as air tests most coins were at 12 inches or more.the clad dime was at 10 inches and so was the penny. i have an old button with an eagle on it about the size of a quarter and the tejon will air test it at 14 inches. the best the silver would reach out was 9 inches and compadre was 8 inches with that button.at this point it looks like i will be using the silver and compadre to clean out all the goodies down to 6-8 inches and use the tejon to get the rest, if anything is left. cant wait til the snow all melts again. and as good as the silver and compadres disc works, the tejon is much better. i found these 3 small hearts about 1/4 inch wide and 10k gold wire type, like all hooked together on a bracelet, well the vaquero i had would not pick them up except all metal, and only 1 inch on an air test. these are tiny though. the tejon will air test at 5 inches loud and clear. i guess i am just amazed at how well the tejon behaves. but the again i am amazed at how all tesoros behave.

From those of us who do not have a Tejon YET.

Hope to have one sometime in the future.

Thanks for the info.

HH,

The Tejon likes small stuff. It's the only detector I've had that would make a .22 cal lead bullet 4 inches deep sound like a .69 cal.

I think you'll find, the more you use the Tejon the more you'll learn about it's capabilities. As time goes on you'll be surprised at what it can do. Well that's the way it's happened to me.

The Tejon is my first grab usually for relic. The first time I took it out, I was impressed. It's sensitive and I dug up small stuff with some surprising results. Later on that first day, we moved to another area. The machines my friends were using gave fits and they had to move to the outskirts of the actual area we wanted to hunt. The Tejon was workable. I switched to the 5.75 coil and I was busy digging. I have no plans on letting Tejon go.

That heart is a great find, Bill...

Assurance that there can't be much getting by you, if the coil passes over it!
