first hunt of the year..I was thrilled to dig the 1901o Morgan dollar and shocked to dig the 1903 one peso but when I dug the two 1oz .999 silver pandas I smelled a rat..I think I stumbled upon the leftovers of a seeded hunt. good finds none the less and a nice way to start the year..

Wow! Sure hope you enjoyed it because you will probably never have a better hunt than that. Even if it was the remnants of a seeded hunt, awesome finds. Congratulations.

seeded or not thats Awsome

That is really weird man! :surprised: Wonder what the deal was? A guy would think theres no way those could be missed at a seeded hunt...maybe some kid robbed poor old Grandpas coin collection? Were they shallow? I know Roland58 found a silver dollar in a totlot recently...strange, but really nice when a guy can pull some big silvers like that! Congratulations! :clapping:

they were all right up against the edge of a concrete staircase..2-4 inches deep..all within a 40 foot span of the staircase..a place I've been over before but decided to try it because there was no grass growing yet and could get the coil flush to the ground..

I agree they lost them you found them, that is what we do, nice finds.

Yep, yours now no matter how they got there

Concrete staircase, 2-4" deep?...I will guess they were lost @4yrs ago...might want to give that area another pass thinking gold coin/chain/jewelry...(I'm sure you already have!)

Something happened on that staircase...I'd pull any and all targets and try to 'see the lane' if it was a running battle of some sort to the parking lot...could be gold chains or something...a guy just dont stumble upon 4oz of silver everyday...something happened there, and you need to go and find out and report back! What a great mystery!:clapping:

yes..a mystery for certain..will hit the area again and report back..I hit all the edges of this immense staircase but no luck so far..except for a plastic grocery bag of dirt with 5 clad quarters..
