Tejon gold

I found these recently with the Tejon on an ocean beach. At first I thought they were plastic being that they are so light but after taking a look with a magnifying glass they are stamped 18K. They have to be hollow. Amazing how they can print the carat so small. The coin is a rusted penny so I guess its one of the 1943 steel cents. You can barely make out Lincolns head and once cent on it. Unable to read date.

Nice find Neil. Your very lucky to find a pair of ear rings. Were they found together? Or ?" apart? How deep?
More HH to you

Hi Charles.
They were gotten in one scoop at an ocean beach. I use a 4" scoop so they were 1 to 4" deep. I got a lot of singles also but I think people take alot of stuff off before they head into the water.
