Tejon frequencies?

In the manual it says that the Tejon operates at 17.2 to 17.6 kHz . Was just wondering how one switches to these frequencies being that there is no frequency shift switch on the Tejon?

The Tejon uses a "tank circuit" to generate its operating frequency. Manufacturing tolerances cause the 0.4 kHz range. Tesoro simply tunes each Tejon based on it's own exact operating frequency before it leaves the factory. That's the way I understand it.

wondered this myself I assumed they just set them some where between those freq. when they tuned them at the factory

This isn't a frequency switch, its more of a shift of the same frequency. Somewhere I read something to the effect that if you regularly hunt with another person that also has a Tejon you can send one of them in and Tesoro can offset the frequency to help reduce cross talk of the two machines, this allows the two detectors to operate in a little more close proximity to each other.

Was actually just wondering why they didn't put a toggle switch like they have on theVaquero to switch between the frequency variances. Doesn't really matter....was just curious.
