Tejon found its first silver!!! Well sorta

Found a 1944 p war nickel so it's got a little silver. Still learning with this detector but I'm getting good at calling trash beeps but still digging it. I also found a cool brass lipstick tube with old lipstick at the bottom of tube cool find for me.

Nice going on the silver War Nickel. I really like finding those a lot. Those are harder to find than silver dimes. What were your settings and how deep was it?

I believe that has like 32% silver in it from what I've read on these.....nice find!

I run the tejon GB a little negative, I keep disk one on foil and disk 2 at scap. In the ball field I dig every repeatable signal on disk one. In the town common I have been only cherry picking if disk 2 sounds good. I don't want to dig to much in the hot weather and kill the nice grass. I found the nickel about 6 Inchs down in the ball field in the same area I have found other silver coins. Been over this area with many other detectors so it was a great little coin find for me.

That is exactly how I have been running my Tejon on the ball fields.
